You know your team is in trouble when Russell Wilson is carving up your defense. The Badgers put up two impressive offensive drives in the second quarter. Wisconsin had two touchdowns on their two drives in the quarter. The Badgers put up an eight play, 51 yard drive that lasted over four minutes, capped off by Wilson throwing a fade to Nick Toon in the end zone for a 14-0 Badger lead.
After Jordan Bishop managed a nice catch in traffic from Sean Mannion for 32 yards, Oregon State was forced to punt. Wisconsin then marched 72 yards in twelve plays on a five minute drive that put Wisconsin firmly in control, as Wilson found Jacob Pederson for their second touchdown hookup. Wisconsin then took the opening drive of the third quarter 80 yards in 6 plays, and Monte Ball ran that ball straight through a tired Oregon State front seven. Ball finished the drive off with a 19 yard rush to the right to give the Badgers a seemingly insurmountable 28-0 lead.
After a slow first half start, Wilson currently has amassed a passer rating of 230.8, completing 13 of 15 passes for 139 yards and three touchdowns. Wilson has 133 yards overall, Oregon State 104. Mike Riley's quizzical quarterback substitutions are still in play. Mannion is 7 of 16 for 80 yards in relief, and starting quarterback Ryan Katz (perfectly healthy) completed his lone pass. The Beavers are in big trouble in Camp Randall.
