NFL Free Agency 2011: Ben Leber Picks Rams Over Seahawks

Former Viking and current free agent linebacker Ben Leber has been busy this free agency period, and by busy I mean busy tempting the Seattle Seahawks. Leber has been in a holding pattern with Seattle the last few days. This torture has crippled the Emerald City for days, as fans everywhere held their breath on wondering whether they would be needing to buy Ben Leber jerseys on NFL.com at first notice.

The torture is over, but the rejection has just begun. Leber decided to join the St. Louis Rams over the Seahawks, settling on a one year deal according to John Clayton of ESPN. With Leber, Zach Diles and Brady Proppinga the Rams linebacking corps is now vastly improved. Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo can finally start looking toward rebuilding a formidable defense that he once possessed when he was defensive coordinator of the New York Giants.
