The experiment for Lache Seastrunk in Oregon is over. The Ducks running back officially completed his transfer to Baylor by signing a financial aid contract and arrived on the Houston campus this afternoon.
Although outsiders to the workings of Oregon football might find the transfer suspicious given the circumstances surrounding the talented young running back, Seastrunk clearly was struggling to crack even the three-deep in the running back circles, being overtaken by rookies like De'Anthony Thomas and Tra Carson. It made sense to make this move before the season started and time ran out on him to compete at the Division I level.
Baylor is a sensible place to start over. It's close to his home in Texas and it gives him a place where he should immediately compete for playing time. It should be interesting to see what he does with the opportunity.
