Raheem Brock Scheduled For Workout With Patriots Wednesday

Defensive end Raheem Brock is set to work out with the New England Patriots Wednesday, according to The Red Zone. The 33-year-old Brock has spent nine seasons in the NFL.

Brock played his first eight seasons, from 2002 to 2009, with the Indianapolis Colts before playing for the Seattle Seahawks last year. He played phenomenally last year, posting a career high 9.0 sacks in the regular season. Brock experienced quite a renaissance, having recorded only 9.5 sacks in the previous three seasons combined. He added another 2 sacks in the Seahawks' postseason games against the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Bears.

Brock and fellow defensive end Chris Clemens wrecked havoc on offenses last season. Clemens, who also spent his first year with the Seahawks in 2010 after stints with the Oakland Raiders, Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles, recorded a career best 11.0 sacks. Together, Brock and Clemens combined for 20 of the Seahawks' 37 sacks last season.

The Seahawks should try to retain Brock's services after such a fantastic year last season. It appears that they may have competition, however, as Brock gets ready to work out with the Patriots Wednesday.
