The world was watching the United States Women's National team battle Brazil on Sunday, including some of the biggest superstars the NBA, NFL and other leagues have to offer. It was a bonding moment, per se, with athletes across sport lines uniting in the name of the USA, enthralled by the women's team's performance on the field in Germany. Twitter exploding throughout the game, reaching a frenzy as Hope Solo parried away a penalty kick during the game-deciding, giving the USA the upper-hand over Brazil.
↵Solo became an instant hero, captivating the audience with her skill in net for the United States during Sunday's quarterfinal match. She also caught the attention of one of the NBA's youngest stars: Oklahoma City Thunder wing Kevin Durant.
