It's been a rough few days for Wenatchee's Tyler Farrar in the 2011 Tour de France, and it shows in the latest standings. Farrar has fallen back to eighth in the race for the green jersey, but is 111 points behind leader Philippe Gilbert and well behind the group of riders challenging for the sprint title. Farrar has been unable to mount a serious charge for sprint points recently, falling victim to crashes and finishes that don't best suit his skills. And with just a limited number of sprint-centric stages left, his chances for another win are running out, as well.

The Tour de France continues on Sunday as the peloton embarks on a journey from Issoire to Saint-Flour on a route classified as a medium mountain stage. Rui Alberto Costa came away from Saturday's stage with a win, surviving late charges during a one-man breakaway. Thor Hushovd somehow managed to stay in yellow despite his relative lack of climbing ability.

Here are the sprint standings after eight stages. Gilbert leads, followed closely by Jose Joaquin Rojas. Mark Cavendish is lurking, well within striking distance, after coming into solid form as of late. Hushovd, Farrar's Garmin-Cervelo teammate, is 57 points off the pace, but still in the yellow jersey as the Tour de France's overall leader.
