NFL Mock Draft 2011: Mason Foster A Likely Second Round Pick

If Thursday was Jake Locker's day at the 2011 NFL Draft, Friday belongs to another Washington Husky. In all likelihood, Washington linebacker Mason Foster will learn his fate during Friday's second- and third-round coverage. As a solid performer at Washington, Foster has opened eyes and seen his own draft stock rise with his workouts ahead of the draft. And on Friday, all the work should pay-off as Foster is selected in either the second- or third- round of the draft.

Throughout the day, we'll be tracking projections for Foster as the second round coverage nears. With the first round out of the way, many are revising their NFL mock drafts, giving us a better idea of where Foster and the rest of the prospects still on the board may end up. But if Thursday was any indication, the draft is a giant dartboard and we have no idea what most general managers are thinking.

To show how quickly things can change, Todd McShay had Foster as the No. 24 pick in the second round before the draft began. The New Orleans Saints were the destination, but the Saints gave away their second round pick to trade back into the first round and select Mark Ingram on Thursday. McShay now has Foster heading to the Denver Broncos with the No. 14 pick in the second round. With the Broncos choosing Von Miller in the first round, would they take another linebacker in the second? We'll find out on Friday as the second round gets underway, live from New York.
