The Oregon Ducks are set to face off against the Wisconsin Badgers at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on January 2, 2012. The traditional Pac-12 versus Big Ten matchup will take place for only the sixth time in the past 11 years due to general BCS selection shuffling.
The opening line for the Rose Bowl opened with the Ducks favored by 4.5 points, but some sites are already favoring them by 5 points, according to our friends over at OddsShark. This should be good news to Ducks fans heading into the huge game against the back-to-back Big Ten champions Wisconsin.
Obviously Oregon is hoping that their speed will be the key to victory in this game. Their big regular-season game against the Stanford Cardinal immediately springs to mind, as they were able to steadily overwhelm defenders with the tenacity of their rushing game before breaking the game open in the second half.
