Penn State Scandal Causes Michael Robinson To Speak Up About Joe Paterno

The scandal surrounding the Penn State Nittany Lions has had significant repercussions throughout the sports world as players and alumni alike have spoken up about the episode. Lions head coach Joe Paterno will reportedly retire after the end of this season, and many players who had the opportunity to play under Paterno have come out to voice their support of the tenured head coach.

Seattle Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson played for the Paterno from 2002 to 2005, playing everything from quarterback to running back to receiver. Robinson helped lead the Lions to a 10-1 season in 2005 and a Big Ten Conference title while earning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Robinson tweeted his thoughts about his former head coach on Wednesday:

Just spoke with MY COACH. He is a strong man and is what honor and dignity is all about. Sad time Nittany Nation. I pray for the victims
