Due to a concussion, Sidney Rice will likely miss Thursday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles for the Seattle Seahawks. Rice did not practice on Tuesday and it was also revealed the concussion occurred on Sunday against the Washington Redskins:

Rice was not the only major injury concern for the Seahawks, as quarterback Tavaris Jackson was also a possible scratch for Thursday:

Jackson was ineffective against the Redskins, completing only 14 of his 30 pass attempts for 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns against an interception. Jackson was also sacked twice. If Jackson cannot play it is likely that Charlie Whitehurst would take over. Whitehurst has completed 27 of 56 passes this season for 298 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
