Seahawks Vs. Redskins Score: Seattle Hanging Onto 17-14 Lead

The Seattle Seahawks and the Washington Redskins didn't do much with their opportunities the rest of the first half after the game was tied. Washington saw a five and a half minute, 11 play, 61 yard drive end in a blocked field goal. Seattle had an 11 play, four-and-a-half minute drive go only 47 yards and end in a punt. Both teams exchanged interceptions, punts and missed field goals early in the third quarter too.

Seattle finally got the benefit of a huge Josh Wilson pass interference penalty in the red zone, setting up a Steven Hauschka 36 yard field goal to put Seattle up 10-7. Seattle then used a methodical 88 yard drive, using Marshawn Lynch and Leon Washington rushes along with Tarvaris Jackson connections with Ben Obomanu, Doug Baldwin, Michael Robinson, and Golden Tate for the touchdown to put Seattle up ten.

Washington responded almost immediately, as Rex Grossman connected with Fred Davis, Santana Moss, Jabar Gaffney and Roy Helu. Helu then made an incredible 28 yard run to get into the end zone to cut the Seahawks lead to three early in the fourth.
