LaMichael James Injury: Ducks Running Back Suffers Left Elbow Injury In 2011 Civil War

Editor's Update: LaMichael James has reportedly taken the ice pack off his left elbow.

The Oregon Ducks are rolling the Oregon State Beavers in the 2011 Civil War, but the victory could come with a price. Running back LaMichael James was rushing down inside the Oregon State ten yard line when he was tackled by linebacker Tony Wilson. As James went down he put out his left arm in an attempt to brace his fall. James grabbed at his arm with speculation revolving around his left wrist and left elbow. Once James went to the sideline, trainers wrapped a big bag of ice around his left elbow.

Earlier this season LaMichael James missed two games after dislocating his right elbow. There is no word yet if this injury is a dislocation or a slightly more basic hyperextension of the left elbow. As more information comes available, we'll post it. James left the game with 141 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Given the 35-7 Oregon lead, his day is likely done no matter the extent of the injury.
