Civil War 2011 Score Update: Jovan Stevenson Ties Game 7-7 On Sean Mannion Dump Off Pass

The 2011 Civil War has turned into an unexpectedly dramatic affair early in the second quarter. Sean Mannion threw a short dump-off pass to running back Jovan Stevenson and Stevenson turned it into a 58-yard touchdown pass. The game is tied 7-7 midway through the second quarter. Prior to the catch and run, Oregon State had accumulated 67 total yards of offense.

LaMichael James gave Oregon a 7-0 lead on a one-yard touchdown plunge. Oregon had several opportunities to build on that lead, but they could not capitalize on Oregon State mistakes. Sean Mannion threw two interceptions early in the game, but Oregon could only score on one of the turnovers. Other than that, the two sides exchanged punts throughout the first quarter.
