The Bay Area product is considered to be one of the best runners in the country, and is currently ranked 6th amongst high school running backs. He had some issues with injury in his Junior year, but has been stellar thus far in 2011, currently averaging 12 points a game a 9.8 yards a carry for Valley Christian down in San Jose, CA.

The strong history of running backs up at Oregon and their success as of late certainly factored into Marshall's decision, who mulled over USC, Cal, Washington, Norte Dame, and Arizona State, where his older brother Cameron Marshall is currently a starter, before settling in with the Ducks.
