The Oregon Ducks just received the best possible news they could possibly get from what looked like a horrifying arm injury (watch the video here if you dare) to running back LaMichael James. It looked like it could be broken and that he could be out for the season at first glance.
Thankfully, first glances aren't conclusive medical evidence. John Canzano of the Oregonian reports that James dislocated his elbow. George Schroder of the Eugene Register-Guard reports that the Oregon running back doesn't believe his injury is season-ending. Don't think you've seen the last of LaMichael in Autzen Stadium, even if he does end up being out for awhile.
Dislocated elbow injuries usually keep football players out a few weeks. Expect to see more of Kenjon Barner and De'Anthony Thomas, as well as the young Tra Carson to power the Oregon rushing attack and keep it afloat, and they'll need to as ASU is next on the docket in a week and a half. Oregon can't sputter too much around when the fierce Sun Devils defensive front challenges them at the line of scrimmage.
That is if James is out for an extended period of time. I wouldn't ever count him out.
