The Oregon Ducks are starting to make big noise on the recruiting trail. For the second time in two classes, they've probably landed one of the top recruits on the West Coast, this time at the all too critical point guard position. And they snatched him right away from the UCLA Bruins in the process!

Dominic Artis from Findlay Prep is a great ball-handler who should immediately come in and start under the lights at Matthew Knight Arena. Artis can really keep his dribble going against any defense, stop on a dime and pull up and hit jumpers, as well as go to the rack and finish at the rim. Plus the passing is pretty slick as well. He's a small one, but he can definitely pack the punch. Artis will join his former Oakland Soldiers (AAU) teammate Jabari Brown, and both should form one of the most formidable backcourts in the Pac-12 for the 2012-13 season.
Artis originally committed to UCLA, but he reopened his recruitment a few weeks ago, took a trip to Oregon and liked what he saw. It's a good time to be an Oregon fan.
