Oregon State Vs. Utah Score Update: Beavers Trail 24-8 In Fourth Quarter

The good news for the Oregon state Beavers is that they managed to completely shut down the Utah Utes in the third quarter and open the fourth quarter with a touchdown to finally get themselves on the board. The bad news is that they still trail by a score of 24-8 with under fifteen minutes left to play.

The Beavers defense finally managed to silence the Utes, although perhaps this is coming a bit too late. After jumping out to a 3-0 lead early, the Utes exploded for 21 points in the second quarter. It was vital that the defense contain them after the half, and they have done so thus far.

The offense for the Beavers had been virtually nonexistent until Sean Mannion found Markus Wheaton in the end zone with a short pass to open the fourth quarter. A two-point conversion attempt was no good, but the Beavers were able to force a Utah end-zone penalty that resulted in a safety.
