Dominic Artis Favoring Oregon Ducks Basketball

Since Dominic Artis decommitted from UCLA basketball, a lot of people have been wondering where the Findlay Prep point guard would end up. Well, there appear to be early indications that he's leaning toward the Pacific Northwest. A.J. Jacobson of Duck Sports Authority reports that Artis is favoring Oregon after his visit up to Eugene. Other schools that figure to be in the mix for the guard include Cal and UCLA (still), but the Ducks appear to be the favorite at the moment.

Artis ending up at Oregon would be a huge coup for head coach Dana Altman and a staff that's been slowly finding some really good talent. Oregon has Jabari Brown all ready to man the two-guard spot; putting Artis and Brown on the same court could yield the best backcourt in the entire Pac-12 in the 2012-13 season. A pretty scary proposition for the rest of the conference, considering Oregon football has already proven they can win on a consistent basis.
