Oregon vs. Colorado Score Update: Ducks Continue To Score, Lead 45-2 After Three Quarters

The Oregon Ducks picked up right where they left off in the second half of their game against the Colorado Buffaloes. The Ducks piled on one more touchdown and a field goal, adding to their five-touchdown total from the first half, to give themselves a 45-2 lead through three quarters.

Colorado received the kickoff to begin the second half but went three-and-out right away. Quarterback Bryan Bennett, who is filling in for the injured Darron Thomas, continued his dominance over the Buffaloes defense as he moved the Ducks down the field. Freshman running back Tra Carson took over running back duties over the latter portion of the drive when head coach Chip Kelly opted to give the freshman some playing time and rest Kenjon Barner. Carson made the drive count, concluding the drive with a one-yard rushing touchdown that gave the Ducks a 41-0 lead.

He went right back to work on Oregon's following possession, breaking off runs of 14 and 15 yards to move into Colorado territory. The Ducks failed to score a touchdown but tacked three more points onto the scoreboard with a 36-yard field goal by Alejandro Maldonado.

Colorado generated its first points of the game following a 43-yard punt by Darragh O'Neil. Oregon return man Cliff Harris backpedaled and was taken down in the endzone for a safety.

Through three quarters, the Oregon defense has surrendered just 201 total yards of offense to Colorado while generating 450 yards of their own. The Ducks lead 45-2 heading into the fourth quarter.
