Washington vs. Stanford Odds: Andrew Luck, Cardinal Enter As Heavy Favorites

Despite a record of 5-1 thus far, the Washington Huskies are three-touchdown underdogs this week.

Despite the Washington Huskies entering Saturday's showdown with a record of 5-1 and perfect 3-0 record in conference play, the 'Dawgs will enter as heavy favorites against the Stanford Cardinal. While UW fans are well acquainted with Andrew Luck, Stepfan Taylor and Stanford's high flying offense, it is their defense that has impressed many this season.

According to Odds Shark, the Huskies opened as three-touchdown underdogs on the road. The original opening lines had Stanford favored by 19.5 points, but various online betting sites such as Bodog and Bet Online have the line as high as 21 points. The over-under for the game is set at 60.5, which indicates many believe the Pac-12 showdown will be a high scoring affair.

If Washington hopes to pull the huge upset this weekend, limiting mental mistakes and penalties will be an absolute must. Andrew Luck is among the best in the nation and can shred a defense if the opposition fails to get pressure on him. He seldom turns the ball over, so it is imperative for UW to do the same in Palo Alto.
