According to CBS Sportsline, Oregon State starting defensive tackle sophomore Castro Masaniai will miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken left fibula during Oregon State's loss to BYU on Saturday. Masaniai was one of six Beavers to suffer injuries.
Head coach Mike Riley announced that junior Andrew Seumalo will take Masaniai's place in the starting lineup when the Beavers play Washington State.
Masaniai recorded 7 tackles, including 1.5 for loss and a sack in the three games he started for Oregon State this season after sitting out the first game of the season due to a suspension.
Seumalo has 15 tackles, including four solo, this season.
The Sun Devils are 1-5, 1-2 in the Pacific 12, with struggles on both sides of the ball. The defense is allowing 31.8 ppg while the offense is putting up only 22.0 ppg. Two away games precede an end of the season schedule that includes games against #8 Stanford, #25 Washington and #10 Oregon.
