BCS Standings, Week 8: Oregon Starts At 10th, Washington 25th

The orignal BCS rankings have been released after the conclusion of Week 8 of the college football season. LSU is number one, Alabama number two, followed by the Oklahoma schools. These four programs figure to control their own destiny with regards to the national championship that makes no sense at all.

But what about with regards to the entire Pac-12? Undefeated Stanford is clearly out in front, but the other two schools in the top 25 are from the Pacific Northwest. Let's take a look at the full list of rankings below.

LSU

Alabama

Oklahoma

Oklahoma State

Boise State

Wisconsin

Clemson

Stanford

Arkansas

Oregon

Kansas State

Virginia Tech

Nebraska

South Carolina

West Virginia

Michigan State

Texas A&M

Michigan

Houston

Auburn

Penn State

Georgia Tech

Illinois

Texas

Washington

No surprise that the Oregon Ducks are ranked high on this list. Their one loss has come to the number one team in the country and they now have a quality victory under their belt after battering the Arizona St. Sun Devils. It is surprising to see the Washington Huskies up there, since they have yet to beat a quality opponent--their three conference victories have come against teams that have yet to win in the Pac-12. Washington will get a chance to prove they deserve this ranking make a statement this week when they play Stanford though.
