AP Poll, Week 8: Washington Gets to 22nd After Big Win, Oregon Remains 9th

For the second straight week there was no change in the top 10 of the AP College Football Poll, though there were some important changes within the top 25 for week eight of the season, including the Washington Huskies making their way into the top 25 of the AP Poll.

After taking apart the Colorado Buffaloes by the score of 52-24, the Huskies found themselves in the top 25 for the first time this season. Unfortunately their time in the rop 25 may be short lived after their meeting with the No. 7 Stanford Cardinal in Palo Alto next Saturday. Oregon (9) and Arizona State (24) mark the remaining teams in the Pac-12 in the rankings this week.

LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Boise State round out the top five, though the big news of the polls was Kansas State moving up to 12th, the highest they've been ranked since the preseason of 2004. Georgia (24), like UW, was unranked last week, making the top 25 for the first time this season as well.
