The matchup this weekend between the Oregon Ducks and Arizona State Sun Devils will be a big one. College Game Day will be in attendance to preview the matchup, kickoff is set for a primetime showdown on national television, and the game will feature two teams with hopes for a BCS bowl game appearance.
For the Ducks, after a rough first week to begin their season, their dynamic offense has blown opposing defenses away and most games have been over by halftime. For Arizona State, the team started slowly and fell to Illinois on the road because of penalties and turnovers, but they have played at the top of their ever since the wakeup call.
The players to watch for on the Sun Devils are quarterback Brock Osweiler and linebacker Vontaze Burfict. Both are the leaders for their unit and the team seemingly goes as these two go. Burfict is somewhat of a hothead and is known for losing his cool in a rowdy atmosphere, but the big man can do some damage if he hits you.
The top-storyline for the Ducks is obviously the health of LaMichael James. The speedy running back is doing everything in his power to be available for the big Pac-12 matchup, but it appears he is highly questionable as of Wednesday morning.
