Oregon Stands At 30-1 Odds For BCS Championship

After losing their season opener on the road to then-No. 4 LSU, the Oregon Ducks have posted four straight victories and rank as the No. 9 team in the land in the AP Poll. According to Bodog Sports, the Ducks currently stand at 30-1 odds of winning the BCS Championship.

The Ducks rank tenth on the updated BCS odds rankings, behind Michigan (20-1) and ahead of Georgia Tech (50-1). Oregon is ranked behind the eight teams ahead of them in the AP Poll (LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Boise State, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Clemson) in addition to Michigan.

One has to wonder why the Ducks are placed behind Michigan. The Wolverines are 6-0, but they have not faced a ranked team yet and have played five of their six games at home. Michigan will get a chance to address both of these when they take on No. 23 Michigan State this weekend on the road.

At the top of the list, Alabama leads the way at 7-4 odds with Oklahoma in second at 3-1 and LSU in third at 9-2. Fellow Fellow Pac-12 contender Stanford comes in at 12-1.

Oregon can improve their position this weekend when No. 18 Arizona State comes to town. A win against a ranked opponent would certainly bolster Oregon's national championship case.
