We're done with the first round of the MLS draft, a round that's dragged on for far too long. Trades, timeouts and analysis breaks for the ESPN commentators have turned what seemed like a short-affair into a draft that closely resembles NFL draft day.
Here's what we have so far. The Seattle Sounders have yet to pick, instead trading the 11th pick in the first round and an international slot to the Portland Timbers for allocation money and Portland's No. 2 pick in the second round.
18) Colorado Rapids: Eddie Ababio
17) FC Dallas: Bobby Warshaw
16) Los Angeles Galaxy: Paolo Cardozo
15) Columbus Crew: Justin Meram (traded with San Jose Earthquakes)
14) Chivas USA: Victor Estupinan (traded with Real Salt Lake)
13) New York Red Bulls: Corey Hertzog
12) Columbus Crew: Rich Balchan
11) Houston Dynamo: Will Bruin (pick traded from Seattle to Portland to Houston)
10) Sporting Kansas City: C.J. Sapong
9) Chicago Fire: Jalil Anibaba
8) Vancouver Whitecaps: Michael Nanchoff
7) Houston Dynamo: Kofi Sarkodie
6) New England Revolution: A.J. Soares
5) Philadelphia Union: Zac MacMath
4) Chivas USA: Zarek Valentin
3) DC United: Perry Kitchen
2) Portland Timbers: Darlington Nagbe
1) Vancouver Whitecaps: Omar Salgado
The Sounders are up shortly, picking 20th, barring a trade or other moves. John Rooney, brother of Wayne Rooney, is still on the board and could be an intriguing pick.
