Did The Huskies Blow It With Brett Hundley?

Greg Biggins writes on his ESPN Insider blog that the Washington Huskies had a great chance to land highly-touted high school quarterback Brett Hundley before UCLA was able to swoop in and land his college commitment.

All signs pointed towards Hundley picking Washington for several months. He had not only developed a strong relationship with the coaching staff but a friendship with current Huskies quarterback Jake Locker.

Hundley visited the Huskies campus on two separate occasions and mentioned what a great fit the school, football program and the offensive system was for him. With only two quarterbacks on the roster returning and Hundley graduating a semester early, there was even talk that he would have the opportunity to step in and compete for the starting job as a true freshman next fall.
