The Portland Timbers will be joining Major League Soccer next year and they are wasting no time fanning the flames of their rivalry with the Seattle Sounders.
The Timbers have commissioned a billboard near Qwest Field declaring Portland "Soccer City USA" and posted a photo on their official Facebook page. The Timbers call the sign, "a friendly introduction to our MLS neighbors up north that just went up today near Qwest. See you in 2011."
