Game Over: Revs Beat Sounders 3-1

For those who believe that poor decisions on the part of the referee have no impact on the game, this match just might change their mind.

After the referee ignored violent conduct on the part of the New England Revolution, Seattle seemed to fall to pieces, allowing three goals in under fifteen minutes. The Sounders also had a porous defense that couldn’t handle the long throw-ins sent by the Revs.

Marko Perovic had an impressive match tonight, scoring the second goal and in general leading the line for the Revolution.

This match should have been a lock for the Sounders, but even the best teams fall apart at times. The combination of the pressure and the poor calls contributed to the Sounders’ first loss since July 4.
