Humberto Suazo, subbed in just a few minutes earlier, fired a shot at Terry Boss, which Boss manages to save. Unfortunately, a defensive error by Zach Scott allowed a Monterrey shot into goal. Scott was caught unaware and left the Monterrey player onside.
