Sounders Place Pat Noonan On Disabled List

Seattle Sounders Midfielder/Forward Pat Noonan has been placed on the disabled list with an adductor strain. Considering that we haven’t seen Noonan since July 15, his formal addition to the list is no real surprise.

This leaves Noonan out for the rest of the season, meaning it is likely we will never see him in rave green again. As Noonan often was so ineffectual on the field that he came close to actively harming the team (remember the missed penalty in Philadelphia?) supporters will consider this no great loss.

On the other side of the coin, Brad Evans has been removed from the disabled list, although he won’t be able to play until the Toronto match on October 2nd. Perhaps he’ll be useful in those nearly-pointless CONCACAF Champions League matches the Sounders still need to play?

Finally, Nate Jaqua is on the weekly injury report with a ‘head injury’. Has he been Zombie-fied again? Can a player become a Zombie twice?
