The Seattle Mariners have released their 2011 Major League Baseball schedule on Mariners.com.
Opening day will be Friday, April 1, when the Mariners travel to Oakland for a three-game series with the Athletics.
The Mariners home opener will be Friday, April 8, when the Mariners host the Cleveland Indians to start a three-game series.
The season bookends nicely with another three-game series against Oakland. The Mariners will host the A's on September 26, 27 and 28 in Seattle to close the season.
The New York Yankees will visit Seattle for a three-game series on May 27, 28 and 29 and another three-game series on September 12, 13 and 14.
The Boston Red Sox will visit Seattle on August 12, 13 and 14.
The Mariners open interleague play with a three-game series against the San Diego Padres in San Diego that begins on May 20. The Padres will also visit Seattle for a three-game series on July 1, 2 and 3.
The first home interleague series will the Philadelphia Phillies travel to Safeco Field to open a series on June 17. It will be Philadelphia's first trip to Seattle since 2005.
Another interleague series of note: the Atlanta Braves will travel to Safeco Field on June 27, 28 and 29. It will be Atlanta's first trip to Seattle since 2003.
The Major League Baseball All-Star Game will be held on July 12 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Mariners will have July 11, 12 and July 13 off for the All-Star break.
