That’s it, done and dusted: The CONCACAF Champions League hopes of the Seattle Sounders are finished. It started with a red card to our only starting defender and ended with Saprissa two goals to the good. In between, Fredy Montero missed a sitter, Osvaldo Alonso had a penalty saved and Sanna Nyassi consistently kicked the ball in the opposite direction of where it should have gone.
Chins up, Sounders fans. We’ll let the reserves have some fun in our last three CCL matches, and put the focus on the MLS playoffs, where it belongs.
