NFL Roster Cuts: Seattle Seahawks Cut List Central

The NFL's cutdown week has begun.  To summarize: every team needs to trim its preseason roster to 53 players by Saturday. Analysts say this should be a relatively painless process for the Seattle Seahawks and their general manager John Schneider, but it may come with a surprise or two.

Greg Johns writes on SeattlePI.com that safety probably represents the "toughest decision."

Sure things: Earl Thomas, Lawyer Milloy.
On the bubble: Kam Chancellor, Jordan Babineaux, Jamar Adams.
Doubtful: Kevin Ellison.
Analysis: Might be toughest decision facing coaches, with either Chancellor, Babineaux or Adams needing to go. Babineaux is the solid veteran, Adams a developing youngster and Chancellor an intriguing fifth-round draft pick. Adams or Chancellor could go on practice squad. My guess is Adams is odd-man out, as they won't want to risk losing Chancellor. I've been surprised Ellison hasn't gotten more of a shot as a guy who started nine games for Chargers as a rookie last year, but he's been third-team all camp.

The team also faces decisions at tight end and on the offensive line, where a series of injuries, including an ankle injury to Russell Okung, has left some gaps.

We'll have full coverage of Seattle Seahawks cuts throughout the week.
