UW Football Recruiting: Joel Willis Picks The Huskies

After Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Kasen Williams got the ball rolling for Washington, three-star athlete Joel Willis continued the momentum by committing to the Huskies today. The speedy cornerback from California chose the Huskies over Arizona, Nebraska, Utah and more.

Scout.com Husky site Dawgman has the report.

Willis is an outstanding athlete who contributed on both sides of the ball for the Mariners last fall, rushing for 507 yards and four touchdowns while returning a kick 98 yards for another score and hauling in 16 receptions for 180 yards and two touchdowns.

Willis’ commitment is the 18th for the Huskies in the class of 2011. The momentum is still rolling while head coach Steve Sarkisian waits for word from quarterback prospect Brett Hundley. Hundley will reveal his college choice on Sept. 6.
