Seattle Sounders Beat Metapán, Advance To Group Stages Of CONCACAF Champions League

The Seattle Sounders may have only drawn tonight’s match in El Salvador—with a final scoreline of 1-1—but with last Wednesday’s goal by Fredy Montero, Seattle has won the two-legged match on aggregate goals. The final score over both legs: Seattle 2, Metapán 1.

The Sounders now advance to the group stages of the CONCACAF Champions League, where they will be included in Group C, with seeded clubs Monterrey and Saprissa, and either Tauro, from Panama, or Marathon, from Honduras.
