Cameron Morrah has been lighting up Seahawks training camp but it's obvious most fans do not know who he is. Here's a primer so you can stop calling him "88."
↵Name: Cameron Morrah
↵Birthdate: March 18, 1987
↵Position: Tight End
↵Recruiting: Four-star prospect as rated by Rivals.
↵College: California Golden Bears
↵Stats: Peaked at 27 receptions for 326 yards and 8 touchdowns as a junior.
↵How acquired: Drafted in the seventh round, 258th overall, in 2009 NFL Draft.
↵Favorite Simpsons Quote: We've reached the limits of what rectal probing can tell us*.
↵Scouting Profile: Morrah is ultra-toolsy. He ran a combine certified 4.65 and was a top performer in the vertical, broad jump, bench, short shuttle and 3 cone. His 6.99 performance in the 3 cone is especially impressive and speaks to his coordination and agility. Morrah has a great frame, standing 6-foot-3 and owning a 33.5-inch reach. So, in other words, Morrah was projectable but hadn't accomplished a ton. He's a new-breed tight end that is a good move blocker, but lacking in-line and probably as much oversized receiver as true tight end.
↵2009: Morrah got some looks in 2009, making the active roster in three games. His overall performance was easy to ignore, but for a player that is all tools it was an encouraging start. He has been lighting up camp so far.
↵*This is a bald-face lie.
