The biggest priority for Washington Huskies head coach Steve Sarkisian has been keeping the top in-state talent home at UW. Adding highly touted Skyline High School senior Kasen Williams to the mix would go a long way towards accomplishing that goal. The senior wide receiver has been on the national radar since storming onto the scene during Skyline's state championship run in 2007, shooting up the recruiting rankings ever since.
Williams boasts a top 5 of Washington, LSU, Notre Dame, California, and Florida and says he's down to two schools, though he won't name the two. With two Washington alumni as parents, UW has the inside track for the hometown kid.
Will he commit to the Dawgs tomorrow? Bob Condotta reported on Twitter that it appears to be a near certainty.
ESPN.com's Greg Biggins says "it will be one of the biggest recruiting shockers in years'' if Kasen Williams doesn't pick UW on Friday
Williams will announce his intentions at the annual Skyline football kickoff dinner in Sammamish at 7 PM on Friday. Stay tuned to see if the Huskies reel in this elite talent.
