Seahawks seventh round pick, Jameson Konz, was waived today in part because of a hip injury. Konz was tentatively slotted as a tight end, but a better description would be athlete. He didn’t really have a position or a lot of football success, but his raw tools intrigued some.
↵I’m never a fan of this kind of pick. Purportedly toolsy players with little success just do not pan out.
↵It’s over for the time being. Konz can rehab. If he heals properly and there’s still interest, Seattle might re-sign him. More likely, his tools will seduce another team and he’ll bounce around for awhile, exciting fans with stories about his talent and probably never making an impact on the NFL.
