Hot rumor is that Lee is on his way to Texas, accompanied by injured reliever Mark Lowe and a cool $2.5M to offset salary. In return, Texas are offering first baseman Justin Smoak plus three other prospects. Smoak is a Montero-class prospect; it’s the rest of the players who’ll determine whether or not this deal beats the package offered up by New York.
