Brandon Graham Signing Should Presage Earl Thomas Signing

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with 13th overall pick, defensive end Brandon Graham. The Seattle Seahawks selected Earl Thomas at 14. Rookie salaries are decided almost entirely by draft order, and when the 13th overall pick is signed, the 14th overall pick soon follows. The terms of Graham's contract were not released.

Thomas will likely sign a contract very similar to the one signed by the 14th overall pick in the 2009 draft, Malcolm Jenkins. Jenkins, also a defensive back, signed five-year, $19 million dollar deal with $11 million guaranteed.

All this build up to something that is eventual may feel like false drama fabricated to create buzz, and it is.

Stay tuned for the exciting conclusion.
