Looking around the internet, it's impossible to find an expert picking the Washington Huskies this weekend. And why would they? After two straight blowouts at the hands of Arizona and Stanford, the Huskies come into this weekend's game reeling. Add in the injury to quarterback Jake Locker and any hope of an upset goes out the window.
Phil Steele, after picking the USC Trojans over the Ducks last week, has the Ducks winning easily today. All five CBS pickers took the Ducks. Even die-hard Huskies aren't picking the Dawgs. Dick Baird picked against the Huskies and Dave "Softy" Mahler had a meltdown of excellent proportions earlier in the week. Seattle Times' reporter Bob Condotta also picked the Ducks to win, 39-10.
The Stanford-Arizona game features the top-2 quarterbacks in the Pac-10 and the only matchup between ranked teams in the conference this weekend.. Nick Foles, returning from a knee injury suffered against the Washington State Cougars, will attempt to shake the rust and knock off the No. 10 Stanford Cardinal. Steele has Stanford by three, but his computer has the Cardinal by 10, 31-21. All five CBS college football experts took the Cardinal, as well.
Around the rest of the Pac-10, Steele picks the Cal Bears over the Washington State Cougars, USC over Arizona State and Oregon State over UCLA in a close one. The actions kicks off at 12:30 p.m. when Washington travels to Eugene to take on the Oregon Ducks on ABC.
