The Arizona Cardinals continue their skid this week against Kansas City, falling to the Chiefs, 31-13. The Chiefs controlled the game from start to finish, jumping out to a 14-3 halftime lead and cruising to victory. Kansas City used a balanced attack, throwing for two scores while also running for two. Jay Feely hit two field goals for the Cardinals in the loss.
Matt Cassel got it done through the air, throwing for 193 yards and two scores. Dwayne Bowe was Cassel's favorite target again, catching nine passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Thomas Jones added 70 yards and two scores on the ground while Jamal Charles rushed for 88 yards on the day.
Derek Anderson had a solid game, throwing for 295 yards and a touchdown. Larry Fitzgerald caught a three yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter, finishing with six catches for 90 yards and the score. Steve Breaston led the Arizona receivers with 90 yards through the air. With Beanie Wells still sidelined, Tim Hightower carried the load, rushing for 62 yards on 12 carries.
Arizona fell to 3-7 on the year with the loss, two games out of the lead in the NFC West. Kansas City improved to improved to 6-4 with the win. The Chiefs batlle another NFC West foe, heading to Seattle to battle the Seahawks. Arizona hosts the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday.
