There is potential for a NBA lockout next year and Nate Robinson has a Plan B in mind that dates back to his college days at UW, according to Mike Tokito of The Oregonian.
↵↵↵Celtics guard Nate Robinson briefly played football at Washington — he was a defensive back — and he tells the Boston Globe’s Julian Benbow he might consider trying out for an NFL team if the NBA shuts down.
↵“If we have a lockout, you might see a lot of guys, including myself, try out and see where it takes you, just see if you can do it or not,” Robinson says. “You never know what can happen.”
↵Of course, the NFL also has labor issues and might not be playing.

So after pondering whether he’d make it, how about a second question based on Tokito’s article: would he still be playing football today if he was a running back?
