NFL Scores, Week 8: Rams Beat Panthers, 20-10

The St. Louis Rams continue to surpise this year, this time putting together a dominating performance against the Carolina Panthers. The Rams, behind a stout defense, held the Panthers to 10 points, seven of which came on a late touchdown pass. Sam Bradford put together a solid day, throwing for 191 yards and two touchdowns.

On the ground, the Rams had a tough go of it against Carolina. Steven Jackson carried the ball 23 times for 59 yards, but didn't get into the end zone. Washington State graduate Brandon Gibson led the Rams' receivers, catching six balls for 67 yards. Danny Amendola also caught a touchdown pass.

Matt Moore gave St. Louis plenty of help, throwing for 194 yards, one touchdown, but three interceptions. Jonathon Stewart never got it going on the ground, gaining only 30 yards. Steve Smith led all receivers with 85 yards. Brandon LaFell added a late score for the Panthers

The Rams move to 4-4 and sit at third in the NFC West for now. The Carolina Panthers fall to 1-6. St. Louis takes next week off to rest while Carolina hosts the defending Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints.
