Washington State Vs. Colorado: Buffaloes, Cougars Tied 7-7 Through 1st Quarter

Stay connected for news and updates

The Washington State Cougars and Colorado Buffaloes are tied 7-7 through the first quarter of Saturday afternoon's game. The Buffaloes nearly took the lead late in the quarter, but Will Oliver missed a 30-yard field goal with less than a minute left.

Quarterback Connor Halliday has had Washington State's offense moving, but a bad interception (with Anthony Carpenter at QB) in Colorado territory ended the Cougars' most recent drive. Halliday has completed 10 of 13 passes for 130 yards and a touchdown, but one of those incompletions was especially costly.

Teondray Caldwell has had just two carries for the Cougars, but he's ran for 41 yards. Colorado has had a balanced offensive attack so far as well, passing for 58 yards and rushing for 69 yards. Jordan Webb has played well for the Buffaloes, completing 6 of 8 passing attempts for 58 yards and a touchdown.
