After opening the week at 16-point favorites, the Washington Cougars are now being given a 20-point edge over the Colorado Buffaloes by a majority of linemakers.

This an interesting development considering that it's looking as if backup Connor Halliday will start for the second straight week at quarterback. Then again, Halliday didn't seem to have much trouble last week against UNLV after he threw for four first-half touchdown passes in the Cougars' 35-27 victory. Halliday did toss two interceptions on top of that, but Washington State never trailed the Rebels at any point with Halliday seeming to be in full control.

With Mike Leach and his trademark vagueness running the show, it's still unclear if Halliday has officially passed Jeff Tuel on the depth chart. But if there's one thing that's certain, it's that Vegas doesn't expect the Buffaloes to stand a chance against WSU no matter who is under center.
