Two WSU verbal commits square off on ESPN2 as WR River Cracraft meets future teammate QB Tyler Bruggman.
If you're a Coug, you'll be very pleased to hear two verbal commits for Mike Leach's Class of 2013 will be playing each other tonight on national television. ESPN2 and ESPN3.com will air Santa Margarita Catholic (CA) vs. Brophy Prep (AZ) at 7pm PT. Santa Margarita is the high school of WR River Cracraft, while Brophy Prep is led by 4-star QB Tyler Bruggman.
We've talked about both of these commits in detail over at CougCenter, but tonight is a wonderful opportunity for the casual fan to see the future of Washington State. Bruggman is one of the best QBs in the nation (as high as #16 by Rivals), and possesses incredible accuracy. In Mike Leach's Air Raid, accuracy is the most valuable asset by far. Arm strength and mobility are nice, but if you aren't accurate, you simply won't last. Bruggman has that trait in spades.
As for Cracraft, he's a big bodied WR who blocks extremely well, runs great routes, and catches everything. Santa Margarita is the #2 team in the nation according to both Max Preps and ESPN, to boot. Led by Nebraska-bound Elite 11 QB Johnny Stanton, the Eagles look to show why many consider them the best team in the state of California.
