In the second game of Pac-12 play for both teams, the Washington State Cougars hosted the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday evening. In the end, the Cougars were able to pick up an 81-76 win to improve their in-conference record to 1-1, with a 9-5 overall record. While the Beavers are now 10-4, they have come up empty in both Pac-12 contests thus far.
Brock Motum had a huge game for the Cougars, notching 26 points and eight rebounds. WSU shot 54 percent from the floor and looked like a more cohesive team than they appeared in their 92-75 loss to the Oregon Ducks on Thursday night. DaVonte Lacy also added 18 points to the winning effort.
