WSU vs. OSU: Cougars Take on Beavers at CenturyLink Field

The Washington State Cougars head to CenturyLink field for their annual Seattle Game, hosting a Pac-12 rival for the first time in the series against the Oregon State Beavers.

The Washington State Cougars are taking their home game on the road for their annual neutral field game( aka The Seattle Game), only this time it comes against a Pac-12 rival in the form of the Oregon State Beavers.

The Cougars came home to Martin Stadium for the first time since September 10 against the Stanford last Saturday, marking a 34 day gap between home games. The last time WSU had such a road trip was during the 2005 campaign when the Cougars opened in Martin Stadium September 1 and returned home October 8. And eve though this game is considered a home game, it will start another three game set away from Martin Stadium for Paul Wullf's boys.

The Seattle Game, formerly the Cougar Gridiron Classic, marks the first conference opponent for the Cougs in the history of the game when the host Oregon State. Started back in 2002,  WSU hosted Nevada for the first football game ever in the new Qwest Field, taking the victory in that game. This will be the ninth game for the Cougs at the home of the Seattle Seahawks, where they are 5-3 in that span.

Luckily for the Cougs offense junior quarterback Jeff Tuel made his return to the gridiron last Saturday against Stanford, completing 17-of-30 passes for 145 yards.  Tuel fractured his left clavicle (collarbone) in the season-opening game against Idaho State, but hopefully will be behind center the rest of the season for the Cougs.

WSU leads the all-time series with a 48-44-3 record, including a 22-17-2 advantage when playing as the home team. The Cougars ended a three-game losing streak to the Beavers last season, taking a  31-14 win in Corvallis, the first conference road win under head coach Paul Wulff
